I am going to be talking about a new web 2.0 tool, my favorite I must say is the digital story, I would love to have done more and even a longer story but again my technology was limited, I believe that digital story is the best thing yet. Can you see the future with this thing. For example I have grand babies that lives in two different states. with this I can send a story anytime anyplace. I can record the story earlier at my time and then send it to them.

I can spend a day in the park and bam! story time, I love it, I can spend a day at work, a day in the supermarket or just driving along bam! story time. It doesn't get any better than this.

Sitting with a friend having lunch, record, edit, download and send, how about that.

My goal is to retried and retried again and again, until I get the hang of all of this. It would be great to have an entire class on this. I relieve that most of you don't need a whole class because you are already computer sassy. But, myself and maybe a few others will like to have this training not only for us but to take our students on a trip that they have never be able to go on.

I realized that there are a lots to do out there, and now I realize why they call it surfing the web, because it is so much fun. But, I know safety comes first, we must teach our students the right way to surf the web, so they can learn and gain knowledge of the whole universe.

I set an assignment
The students must create a digital story about their family's last vacation and post it,
I create this assignment because I create a digital story and it was fun
I would like to take it a little farther, I would love to use this in my very on real classroom setting with my real own class. I think the kids would love this.
I have begun this year by allowing the student to teach the class themselves and they love it, I notice that when ever the student has to speak or present, their grades appears to always to higher. So I will continue to use this technique and other techniques.
I am also interested in taking an online class to further prepare me with the many new technologies and websites that are available to me as an educator,

Here I to bragging about Google Doc and to tell you the truth, I do not have much to brag about, Although I did create a Google doc and also instapaper and RSS Reader like Feedly.com account. I must admit I did not have fun doing this, I had a very hard time trying to imbed and download videos and post my comments and still hoping that I did it correct, Well I guess I will find out really soon. I added students, created portfolios, and posted a  project, I think I done it all. How well? I do not know.

So I am now closing down for the night. I will try it again tomorrow night, I am hoping I can finish up by the end of spring break. However, getting finish is not my biggest concern my biggest concern is getting it done correctly,

I have been doing very well so far but this last technology course is trying to beat me out. If there is anyone else out there that is having trouble please post a comment on my blog page. I am signing off now.
